3. Biodata:
Mrs. Naheed Esar Malikzai was born 1989 and hails from Jalalabad, Nangahar Province. At four months old, she and her family were forced to flee to Pakistan, where they lived in a refugee camp. In 1999, she moved back to her native country and studied in an underground school in Herat Province. Esar helped her mother run an illegal school in Taliban time. She was a Fulbright student. Naheed successfully graduatied from the University of Arkansas as a Fulbright Scholar with a master’s degree in cultural anthropology .  (2012-2014)

Nahid is a women's rights activist. She has completed a longitudinal research project on the lives of widows in Kabul and, as a result, has founded a “Widows Association” to help the many women who have struggled with loss from decades of strife in Afghanistan.

She speaks Pashtu, Dari, Urdu and English
