Esakhil_ShukriaShukria Eisakhail Essakhel Shukria Eisa Khel Shokria Essakhel was born 1964 in Pul-i-Khumri City, Baghlan Province. Esa Khil holds a bachelor’s degree in Literature from Baghlan University, which she earned in 2005. Representative of the Baghlan people in the Emergency Loya Jirga in 2002.

Esa Khil was elected to the 2005 parliament for Baghlan province with 3,256 votes and served on the Finance, Budget, Public Accounts and Banking Affairs commission.
 

In 2007, a bomb exploded during an MP visit to a sugar factory in Baghlan province, killing 6 MPs. Essa Khil was among those injured in the attack.14 She was part of Karzai’s election campaign in Baghlan in 2009.
 

Dr. Muhammad Qahir Qanit, head of the central Baghlan Hospital, claimed Shukria Eisakhel, representing Kabul province in the lower house of the parliament, had distributed bad medicines to different hospitals. Of them, seven drugs were either expired or found substandard. However, Shukria Eisakhel said she did not know that the quality of the medicines she distributed was low or they were expired. She said she transferred the medicines on her own cost to hospitals from the MoPH in line with the demand of the people. She claimed she did not open the cans in which the medicines were packed during their distribution. With her good intentioned activities Eisakhel was disturbing business of the drug mafia who hit back denouncing her to stop her from transporting urgently needed medicine from Kabul to Baghlan.

Shukria Isa Khel has strong family connections to provincial authorities and is a close ally of Karzai’s. The son of Mrs. Esakhil ( Wolesi Jirga candidate 2010) opened fire on the campaign vehicle of a rival candidate in northern Baghlan province, officials and witnesses said on Monday. Atal, whose mother, Shukuria Esakhil, is running for parliament in the September 18 election, fired three times at Dr. Narmgoi's vehicle. No one was injured. (20100913) Narmgoi said it was not the first time that Atal had intimidated or harassed rival candidates and voters.


Mrs. Shokria Essakhel received 4,701 votes in Wolesi Jirga 2018 election and got a seat in WJ 2018.

She is married and has three sons and two daughters.
