Durani_ParweenBibi Haji Parwin Durani Durrani is the daughter of Abdul Rahman and was born 1972 in Char Aseyab District in Kabul.Durani graduated from Reshkhur High School in Kabul-Char Asiab in 1989 and from Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan Teachers Training Institute In 1991.

Durani served as trainer and director with the Women’s Social Services Development Organization. She worked with the Embassy of Afghanistan in Iran from 1994 to 2001 and as a journalist in the media department of the Ministry of Borders and Tribes. She then worked as a journalist until her candidacy for Parliament.
 

Durani represented Afghan refugees in Iran at the Constitutional Loya Jirga in 2003.
 

Durani is a Board Member of the Canadian Multicultural Women and Seniors Services Association in Edmonton. RAWA claimes, Parwin Durranai is a very conservative, fundamentalistic and radical lady and is a woman MP for the nomadic Kuchi people, who– with the help of Saudi Wahabis–was granted a seat in parliament to represent Afghan nomads.

Durani was elected to parliament in 2005 with 2,299 votes. She was a member of the Nomads and Immigration Commission during this term.

Wolesi Jirga suspended MP Ahmad Behzad, MP Parvin Durani, MP Fareshta Anwari, and MP Bashir Ahmad Tahyanj. The four lawmakers had failed to attend the parliament sessions since the past twenty days.(20170412)

Female Afghan lawmaker Parwin Durani slapped and cursed a police officer during a Kabul traffic stop. She defended her actions, telling the officer first struck her with his fist, pushed her, insulted her, and smashed the butt of his rifle against her car in an attempt to provoke her. Afghanistan’s acting Interior Minister Masud Andarabi has praised the officer for “showing patience” and not retaliating when he was slapped in the face on March 17 by parliamentary deputy Parwin Durrani.(20190319)

Mrs. Parwin Durani received 1,149 votes in Wolesi Jirga 2018 election and got a seat in WJ 2018.
 

She is married and has four sons and one daughter.
