Former Head of German NGO Katachel e.V. (Katakheil, Kata Kheyl, Kata Khill)in Afghanistan was Dadgul Delawar who switched side to Taleban. In 2006 the German Head of Katachel e.V. in Germany, Sibylle Schnehage, had been warned that Delaware was playing foul. He built built houses for himself and his clan with aid-money.
In December 2009 finally the cooperation with Dadgul Delaware was terminated. The organisation Katachel has worked for over 15 years in north Afghanistan, around Kunduz, building 770 wells, providing pensions for 300 widows, building 20 schools, building 60 km of road and bridges, paying for operations for wounded, building 170 loam houses and setting up income generating activities for war refugees returning from Pakistan.
Today the Village Katachel is a "no go area" because of security reasons.
