3. Biodata:
Wali Monawar was born 1970 in Afghanistan. He is the son of Ehsan Munawar (brother-in law of Zalmai Khalilzad) is a nephew of former Ambassador to Afghanistan Zalimai Khalilzad and he was his uncles watchdog to President Hamid Karzai until Monawar was posted as Ambassodor to Qatar. Monawar holds a M.A. (hon) in Public Policy from New England College, New Hampshire, and a B.A. in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University. Wali J. MONAWAR replaced Ahmad Seyar MAALIJI, who has been serving as Chargé d’Affaires Special Representative to the EU.(20170217)

President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai Ghani appointed Ambassador Wali Monawar, Hameed Tahmasi and Shahrzad Akbar as three new deputies at the Office of National Security Council, the palace said in a statement.(20190424)

Monawar is fluent in English, Dari, Pashto, and Urdu, has an advanced level in German, and an intermediate level in French and Spanish.
