3. Biodata:
Abdullah Jan Habibzai was born 1985 in Afghanistan and went to Sanayee High School in Ghazni (2002). He has a master degree in civil engineering and specialized in transportation engineering; project and program management; research; and business development for around nine years. He has studied at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He was awarded M.S.C.E.,  University of Missouri, USA and  B.S.C.E.,   Kabul University, Afghanistan. As a Fulbright Scholar (201008) he has expertise and certificates in multiple disciplines focusing on project management, change management, strategic planning, and airport and highway planning, design, financing and operation from different recognized universities in United States, Germany, and Afghanistan.
Abdullah is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and an expert in Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3). He has experience with USAID, World Bank, Afghan government, Corps of Engineers (USACE), JICA, and various private companies.

Acting Head of Kabul municipality Abdullah Habibzai said about debtors of Kabul City:  Gulbahar center 189 million Afghani, Chaharahi Sedarat Car Parking 4 million Afghani, Dubai Market 59 million Afghani, Onyx 484 million Afghani, Sultan Mahmood Ghaznawi project 779 million Afghani, and Mashal advertising company 42 million Afghani, Sherpoor Township 196 Million AFS, 58 Government Institutions 822 Million Afghanis, contractors companies 52 Million AFS .The above companies are the biggest defaulters of the Kabul municipality.(20160716)

The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) said on Friday Mar 16, 2018 the Anti-Corruption Justice Center (ACJC) will investigate allegations that Kabul’s acting mayor Abdullah Habibzai has been misusing his authority. Habibzai however said he has not done anything wrong and that the accusations are made by some circles to put him under pressure.  Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA) officials
 meanwhile claimed Habibzai gave development contracts to companies he has close ties with.  Nasir Timori, a member of IWA said there is some corruption in the recruitment process in the department and urged the relevant departments to probe Habibzai’s case transparently.(20180316)

Wolesi Jirga audit commission says it will refer acting mayor Mayor of Kabul Abdullah Habibzai to the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) over corruption charges.  Head of the commission Hafiz Mansoor on Wednesday, Jul 11, 2018 said that based on residents’ complaints, Habibzai has changed the master plan of Kabul’s Dasht-e-Barchi area and that he has embezzled a large sum of money in this regard. However, Kabul’s Acting Mayor Habibzai considered the allegations as “baseless” and that the decision has been taken based on MPs personal interests. “We have been working to implement our deployment plans and its natural when some people to don’t reach to their personal goals, will make conspiracies,” he said.(20180711)

President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai has approved the resignation of Kabul’s acting mayor Obaidullah Habibzai, an official said on Wednesday,  Aug 26, 2018.

Abdullah Habibzai, MS CEE ’13, of Kabul, Afghanistan, was CEO of Pasaar Consulting, which consulted for the Afghanistan Builders Association. The ABA recently was made the authority on certification of material testing laboratories passed to it from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It marked the first time since 2001 an Afghan organization will be in charge of ensuring that the material testing standards are met by the Afghan labs. The USACE will use these labs for future projects. Habibzai is an assistant professor in the engineering department at Kabul University.(20141202)
