3. Biodata:

Khalid Farooq studied at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.

 

In addition to his  post graduate studies in veterinary and applied sciences, he has 10 years of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring of various agriculture projects in different international organizations, including Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), CAB International (CABI), DACAAR, GIZ, Relief International (RI), MEDA, Training Advisory and Innovation Center (TAIC), Knowledge for Development Organization (KDO) and Vision Supply (VS) and DACAAR in various countries.
During his  various assignments, I have closely worked and collaborated with various donor agencies, such as Asian Development Bank (ADB), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), UK Department for International Development (DFID), DANIDA, JICA, USIAD, UNODC, Royal Norwegian Embassy and World Bank in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
As a FPTR specialist, he has trained more than 3600 farmers and professionals in improved livestock and crop husbandry practices through Participatory Extension Approaches in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan. He hs substantial experience in organizing farmers in producer and marketing groups and associations.
