Najibullah Musafer son of Mehrabuddin was born in Qol Abchakan of De Afghanan area in Kabul city in 1963. He got his certificate from Faculty of Fine Arts in Kabul University in the field of drawing. Training photography both theoretically and practically in Fine Arts Faculty of Kabul University under supervision of Professor Fayyaz- 1988
Training photography both practically and theoretically in Erfan Service Center under supervision of BBC well-known journalist, Ms. Kate Clark- 2001 Learning photography both practically and theoretically for two years (2002 – 2004) in Aina Media center, under supervision of professors such as Manuchehr Deqqati, Glan Shan, David and Margret. Training techniques of photography for t13 days in Center for International Journalism under supervision of Ms. Elizabeth John Wald- 2006. Receiving 15 day photography training from Ms. Gitta in Ayeena Photo- 2008.
President Ghani’s spokesman said that jailed Afghan photographer Najib Musafer will be released from Pul-e Charkhi, although he gave no date. Musafer took a photograph of girls parading in an Education Day ceremony seven years ago and sold it to a production company which turned it into an image advertising Etisalat telephones. One of the girls complained, and Musafer was eventually sentenced by the Supreme Court to six months imprisonment.(20150305) Najibullah Musafir after being pardoned by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was released from the prison and reunited with his family.(20150312)
