3. Biodata:
Gen Ghulam Ali Wahdat son of Mawazish Ali (Gradfather´s name: Karam Ali Bik) was born 1962 in Bamian province. Mrs Safora Yalkhani, Wolesi Jirga Member, is his sister. Ghulam Ali Wahdat was born in Yakawlang District of Bamyan province, graduated from Economics Faculty of Kabul University and joined police force. Wahdat was the Chief of Police in Bamyan in 2006 or 2009, he has since been working on different positions with Ministry of Interior. Before his appointment as the Governor of Bamyan, he was working as the deputy Minister for Ministry of Interior affairs.The Chief of Police in Bamyan province Gen Razaq Elkhani is the brother of Wahdat.
 

The appellate court of Kabul has sentenced a Wolesi Jirga 2018 candidate, Ghulam Ali Wahdat, to three years in jail over misusing his authority. Jamshid Rasouli, the Attorney General Office (AGO) spokesman said that Ghulam Ali Wahdat, a former interior minister, and five other workers of the ministry had been sentenced by the Anti-Corruption Justice Center (ACJC) on September 26, 2018. He said that Wahdat was currently in prison but the court’s decision was not final and the convict had the right for appeal.(20181017)
