He completed his bachelors in medicine and was awarded an MD degree in 1997 by Balkh University in Afghanistan

 

Hami holds a Masters of Public Health in Developing Countries from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).

Dr Hami is affiliated as an Executive Board member with the Afghanistan National Public Health Association (ANPHA), and is an Honorary Lecturer for Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Kardan University in Kabul and member of the Board of Trustees of AADA. Chair, Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) National Taskforce, (A government, UN, donor and civil society forum) Kabul, Afghanistan, 04/2011 to present. Member of Board of Executives, Afghanistan National Public Health Association (ANPHA), Kabul, Afghanistan, 02/2010 to present.(present=20130704)

He is father of four children.

Dr. Hami is literate in Dari, Pashto, Uzbek and English.
