3. Biodata:
Azadi_AlamAlhaj Alam Khan Azadi was born 1950 in Nahri Shah District, Balkh Province. Azadi graduated from high school with a twelfth class certificate. He got his bachelor’s degree in Islamic Education from Jamiatul Mustafa University, in Qom, Iran, in 2009. He is a well-known former commander in the area.
 

During both the war against the Soviet regime and the ensuing Afghan Civil War, Azadi was a Mujahideen commander with Hezb-e-Jamiat Islami Afghanistan. Azadi was elected to parliament in 2005 with 15,840 votes, coming in second in the province. During this term, he served on the Internal Affairs commission.  Azadi has family connections to the Balkh provincial governor, Ustad Atta Noor: hisnephew married into the governor’s family.
 

Abdo is a member of the governmental inter-parliamentary committee of the United States, United Kingdom and Iran, and a member of the Gopik Association.

There are six Wolesi Jirga Members whose active membership in the parliament was to be put on hold for two month because absenteeism of 21 days. Lawmakers suspended are the following: Amanullah Guzar from Kabul, Farishta Anwari from Nimroz, Muhammad Ishaaq Rahguzar from Balkh, Ezatullah Atif from Kabul, Faridoon Momand from Nangarhar, and Alam Khan Azadi from Balkh.(20160531)

Afzal Hadid, a close aide to ousted Balkh Governor Noor said that Ishaq Rahgozar, Farhad Azimi and Alam Khan Azadi had all been recommended as replacements for Noor a while back.(20180314)

Mualam Khan Azadi bagged 11,348 votes in Wolesi Jirga 2018 election and got a seat in WJ 2018.

 

He is married with two sons and two daughters.
