nasser_zia-azimAzim Naseer Zia was born in Kabul, Afghanistan on 25th of March, 1949. 1975 joined Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan while still a student. He joined the Mujahideen (Freedom Fighters) in the struggle against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan ( 1981 ). Joined the anti Taliban campaign. Heavily involved in the Bonn process and the return of H.M. King Zahir Shah the former King of Afghanistan, to Kabul (2001-2002)
