3. Biodata:
Dr. Ahmad Shah Zamanzai served as Director General Afghanistan Revenue Department, acting Director General and as Head of Large Taxpayer Office. After his degree, Dr. Zamanzai worked in Moscow as an accountant in the private sector from 1996 to 2002. In 1997, he was appointed to the economics faculty at the University of Management, Moscow, where he also taught economics. In 2004, he returned to Afghanistan and served as Director of Development, with a primary responsibility for the management of the Ministry of Finance Training Center, while also serving as adviser for Ministry’s Treasury Department. In June 2005, he was appointed Deputy and acting Chief of Staff for the Ministry of Finance and served in this capacity until 2007 when he was appointed first Head of Large Taxpayer Office a position he held simultaneously with the additional responsibility of Deputy Director, General 2009, Afghanistan Revenue Department. He was awarded a scholarship to study in Russia where he completed his formal education at the primary, secondary and university levels. He holds a Ph.D. degree in economics from the World Economic Department, University of Management, Moscow.
