3.Biodata:
yari_mominaMomina Yari D/O Haji Suleiman Yari was born in Kabul in 1979. She received a degree in Justice from the University of Peshawar. She also received a degree in social arts from Jinnah College for Women University of Peshawar. Previously she worked with the Department of Support and Development of Women’s Rights in the Independent Human Rights commission. She served as the Director of the Justice Department at the Ministry of Women’s Affairs from May 2002 -2003. She was a Delegate in the Emergency Loya Jirga and the Constitutional Loya Jirga - having had the distinguished honor of being named the first women to be elected to lead one of the ten Committees Established for the reviewing of the Articles of the Constitution. She attend many International Seminars and Conferences conducted on Women’s Rights, Human Rights and other issues representing Afghanistan. She speaks Dari, Pashto, English and Urdu.

President Karzai appointed Mohamad Hussain Gurziwani, Momina Yari, Sayed Mohammad Hashem Folad, Dr Ghulam Dastagir Azad and Reeda Azimi as the new members of the Independent Election Commission (IEC).(20111227)
