3. Biodata:
Mohammed Ranginn Mashkuwani, son of Haji Abdul Rahim, was born in Qalai Nau, Badghis in 1951. He is a high school graduate. In 1992, Mashkuwani served as the Chief of Police of Badghis province. In 2003, he was deputy governor of Badghis. He was a jihadi commander and served as the deputy director of security and deputy chief of police. He is the recipient of letters of appreciation for his service. In 1994, on the basis of a presidential decree, he was promoted to the rank of brigadier general. In 1983 and 1996, he traveled to Iran and Pakistan and, in 2003, he traveled to India. Sen. Mashkuwani was formerly a member of Jamiat Islami Party. He was indirectly elected to the Meshrano Jirga through the 2005 provincial council elections of Badghis. He is married and has 13 children.
