mangal_nawabAlhaj Nawab Mangal Mohammad Nawab Mangal, son of Haji Yardin, was born in 1956 in Shato village in the Laja
Mangal district of Paktia province. He is the brother of Gulab Mangal, the governor of Helmand province (2012). Mangal graduated from the Harbi Khowanzay Military School in Kabul in 1986. He later took a six-month course in communication; he then studied tourism and archeology at the Institute of Kabul in 2005.

During the Mujahideen and Taliban times, Mangal worked in private business. From 1989-2010, he worked with the Afghan National Army in many different provinces. He is ranked as a Colonel in the army and retired in 2010. He also leads a group of four companies.
 

Mohammad Nawab Mangal received 4,578 votes in Wolesi Jirga 2018 election and did not get a seat in WJ 2018.
