Mangal_RaziaRazia Sadat Mangal, daughter of Neik Muhammad, was born in 1973 in the Sayed Karam district of Paktia province. Mangal graduated in 1989 from the Aims High School in Islamabad, Pakistan. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Banking from West Valley College in the United States, which she earned in 1996.
 

Her family has a history of working in central government – both her father and grandfather held positions in the Ministry of the Interior.

In 1989, Mangal and her family moved to California in the United States, where she worked as a banker at the Bank of America from 1996 to 2000. In 2005, she established the first female owned construction company in Afghanistan.
 

While living in the United States, Mangal decided to pursue her interest in women’s affairs in Afghanistan. She joined the Development Organization for the Revival of Afghanistan (DORA) in 2000 and became the director of the organization in 2004. She holds the position to date and has undertaken projects for women through the organization.
 

Razia Sadat Mangal is the daughter-in-law of former Interior Minister and Paktia governor, Taj Muhammad Wardak. Paktia’s single seat reserved for women was taken by Razia Sadat Mangal who has a lot of money in the background, being a partner of various construction companies and having just returned from the US west coast.(20101211)

Mrs. Razia Sadat received 2,195 voles in Wolesi Jirga 2018 election and got a seat in WJ 2018.
 

She is married and has three children.
