3.Biodata:
Mangal_Mirbat_KhanDr. Mirbat Khan Mangal, son of Malik Haji Gulat Shah Khan, was born in 1968 in the village of Gabergah Wakhola in Musa Khel district of Khost province. His father was a tribal leader and jihadi commander. He studied at the Kuwaki Kerm Agency Intermediate School in Peshawar and he completed is high school education at Yaqubi High School in 1994 in Khost. He studied English for one year in 1994. In 1996 and 1998 he completed WHO and IRC medical courses. He also completed a medical laboratory professional course in 1999.

(Other source: Mangal completed his secondary education at the Yaqubi High School in Khost in 1993. He then graduated from the Afghan Medical University in Peshawar, Pakistan in 2000.)

From 1999 to 2001, Mangal established a private health clinic. From 2001 to 2003, he provided services to ensure peace and unity among tribes and he took part in development activities for which he received 11 medals. He received a letter of appreciation during the presidential elections in 2004. From 2003 to 2005, he was chief of a 14-Bed Health Clinic.

Mangal was indirectly elected to the Meshrano Jirga by the Provincial Council of Khost province in 2005.  He is not a member of any political party. Dr. Mirbat Khan Mangal was assigned to Women and Civil Society committee of Meshrano Jirga (2008).

He is married and has nine children.
